GBRun from this moving company Run from this moving company. Lost 25 of our moving boxes. Small move total of 60 boxes. Lost thousands of dollars of items. Refunded $100 because you only get .60 cents per pound. So not even worth the time for a claim. The worst thing is we received 2 boxes of another move, with the tag numbers. Asked 5 times for a shipping label to return their items. Never received. Just horrible.

GBTHEY WILL LIE TO GET YOUR BUSINESS After making many phone calls, I decided to go with Heritage Moving and Storage out of Florida. I spoke to Michael Edwards and he assured me that they were a family business and would provide me with excellent service. He also said that he would be our contact person throughout the whole move and could be contacted if we had any questions. So I gave him our inventory and told him that we were on the 3rd floor of the apartment building. He gave me a quote of $2497, which he said included everything, stairs, gas, toll , and taxes. Well, fast forward to the day of the move, October 6th, we did have an additional 10 boxes than anticipated, however, we were charged an additional $1968!!!! AND, the movers said they weren’t aware of the stairs so they charged us $600, which isn’t true, Michael was well aware of this. AND they charged us $269 for fuel when Michael told me this was included in the original estimate!!!! I tried contacting Michael the day of the move via phone and got his voicemail. He didn’t call me back but sent me a text stating he would look into this and get back to me on the 7th. Well on the 7th , I left several messages on the main number and Michael to no avail. Finally, at 5pm, I decided to use a different prompt , the prompt that states your wanting a new quote (previously I had been using the prompt where it states you have already scheduled your move) and the assistant Manager picks up (funny when they already have your business they’re not available but for new business they pick up). I told her my concerns and she had asked me the round trip mileage and when I was looking it up we got disconnected so I immediately called back, no one picked up and the assistant Manager didn’t even bother to try to call me back. SO FRUSTRATING!!! On the 8th, I left a text with Michael asking him to please follow up with an update regarding my concerns and he never got back to me. So much for “I will be your contact person throughout the whole move”. I called the main number using the “new quote” prompt and I got Jessica who was very rude and not helpful. I asked her to please have a Manager call me and asked for their name and she gave me some lame excuse that there are a lot of managers and she wasn’t going to list them all. She even hung-up on me without saying good-bye. As you can guess, I never got a call back from management. There are hundreds of moving companies out there PLEASE DO NOT USE HERITIAGE MOVING AND STORAGE out of Florida unless you want to get scammed!!!

GBPLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. They communicate with you until they get your money and then stop answering your calls. My "2 day window" turned out to be me waiting for the movers to call, which they finally did late afternoon to inform me they couldn't move me in that window. And lo and behold, Heritage doesn't answer the phone anymore! Please please please do not give these people your money.

GBDO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY We scheduled a move with Heritage about a month ago. When we called to receive an estimate, we told Lisa that we had a three bedroom house and started listing “all of the things that couldn’t fit in a box” per her request. We told her about what furniture we had, about our home gym equipment, and anything else we could think of. Lisa then started listing common household items and we answered “yes” or “no.” Lisa also asked if we had any totes. I said yes, and she asked if we had more than 15, which I answered YES-we probably had 30 or so but she didn’t ask any further questions. We were quoted $5,177 for our move from Fort Benning, GA to Fort Carson, CO. We disclosed that we are a military family and that we would be reimbursed for the move. When the movers got there, they seemed shocked at the amount of stuff we had. They were told that there were only 30 ITEMS TOTAL to be moved, had no idea about the gym equipment, and seemed flustered. I’ve used movers before and answered similar questions to what Lisa asked me and had no issues, so I didn’t think anything of it. Heritage charges an extra however much per cubic foot over the estimate, so our move ended up being a whopping $11,000. I feel like this company saw an opportunity to make more money and didn’t feel bad about it since we were supposed to be reimbursed. However, the army only reimburses $1/lb, and since we only had 9,000 lbs to be moved, we were out $2,000 that we never planned on paying. Can you imagine if we were NOT being reimbursed? Quoted $5,000 and ended up paying $11,000! Wow. I called a few days after our stuff was delivered in CO and spoke with a manager named Henry (or so I was told later, someone I spoke with said Henry was the only male manager). Three pieces of furniture were broken and I had questions about filing a claim. I also brought up the fact that we felt cheated and that it was unacceptable that our move ended up being over double what was estimated. During this conversation, Henry kept interrupting me and insinuated that we didn’t tell the truth about how much stuff we had and blamed us for “messing up their schedule.” All we did was answer the questions Lisa asked during the estimate process, so I’m not sure how we would lie about it. I insisted that they were the professionals and I assumed they had the information they needed to complete the move. I also told them I would have understood if the estimate was off by a couple thousand—no problem. But DOUBLE? Henry said he would listen to the recorded estimate conversation between us and Lisa to determine next steps. He claimed he would call me back within a few days, but it’s been two weeks and I’ve heard nothing. I’ve called multiple times and left multiple messages with no response. I even called a few hours ago and was told “Henry just got here, I’ll let him know you called and he will be with you when he gets settled” and still haven’t heard back. This review is my attempt to get someone’s attention and to warn others. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR MOVE. Although, I would like to add that the gentlemen who picked up our stuff in GA were nothing but lovely and hard working. Best wishes to them.
