USReview of give Forward My brother was diagnosed with tongue cancer about 3 months after being laid off....we needed to find raise asap and used GF. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.....I understand fees but for 8% of what we raise the customer service is slow, I always have to leave a message and be threatening to get a quick call back and they are not helpful. They shared our posts and other information on the social media without consent and said we had to opt out vs opt in (it should be the other way around)...so we had no idea until private updates went public (HIPPA violations). I cannot retrieve my password and when I asked for help it took 30 min to get someone to know that they could easily reset my password for me when it was a very very simple task. I could go on and on and on....use someone else or figure out a way to get donations directly on Facebook or somewhere where the fees aren't this high and get nothing for it.

USBetter off asking people for money directly. The following is my opinion. Do your own research. If you look through their current listings for donations you can not find your own page. Instead digging through you find dozens upon dozens of garbage listings with random letters and characters. The hand full of people who are featured on the site never seem to change. It's almost like they are either fake or incredibly lucky to have been featured. Who knows why they get the lucky break. Others linger and suffer with no donations even though they have cross posted everywhere. The general public never sees your page. Only those that you give your link. You could just ask people for money directly instead of sharing with this crummy site. The misleading part is that giveforward suggests that you donate to yourself to "encourage" others. Well we did that. We NEEDED money for my wifes chemo. The only people who donated were ourselves and a family member. Good job GF... stealing FEES from a chemo patient.

USdishonesty in fundraising Giveforward allows fraud by not checking accuracy of requests-see Koltin Binford fundraising request.

USNeat service, way too (deceptively) expensive. We had several occasions to speak with customer service and each experience was very pleasant. When the benefactor of our fund received the check for nearly ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS than what the fund had raised it was very disheartening. I believe there are funds out there that will not capitalize on yours or your friends grief to this extent. Should I use a service such as this again in the future I WILL DEFINITELY PURSUE OTHER OPTIONS FIRST.

USMy regret I am grateful for the money I received because it was extremely helpful, but I only reached half my goal. My friends and family shared my page on FB, but my friends and family were the only ones to donate, which I regret. I wish it had reached a broader audience where strangers could donate, but that never happened. I didn't want my family and friends to feel like they had to help me, which is why I didn't push my goal.
