Not dependable Not dependable - scheduled a cab 8 hours in advance to make a flight. 13 minutes after the cab was scheduled to pick me up, I received a text saying there were no cabs available and I would have to reschedule. The app claims you can easily schedule your ride - and it is easy to schedule. Just don't count on them being there as promised. Uber and Lyft have this perfected - Curb is further proof why old-fashioned cabbies are on the way out.

This is an extremely misleading app This is an extremely misleading app. I used Curb for the first time yesterday. When I booked my ride the cost was shown as $19.00 and it’s temporary hold, was put on my card to secure that amount. When I got my receipt at the end of the ride, the final cost was $29.00! The base price was almost $20.42, not $19.00. Then there were taxes and fees, including a $1.00 fee to use the app (an “improvement surcharge”), totaling $4.00. Finally, my 20% tip was based on the final cost, including the $4.00 in taxes and fees, rather than the base cost. So it ended up costing significantly more than I thought it would be. They need to be a lot more transparent in their pricing structure.

Hidden costs Used curb for the first time this past weekend. Midtown to LGA. Booked the night before and chose it over Uber because it appeared to be about $25 cheaper. My $45 quoted fare quickly turned into $71 wiall the add-ons. Same price as Uber at the end. And beware that it defaults to a 20% tip unless you go into your account and change it. Found out too late.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. The a-hole driver who accepted my request sat at the (wrong) end of my block for a minute or two, wouldn't answer his phone when I called (twice), and then just suddenly cancelled the ride. A full twenty-five minutes later, a replacement driver arrived. I'm now massively late for a hospital appointment, will likely have to re-book, and have $50 of wasted fares on top. There's no way to complain about the a-hole who wrecked my day. Angry and disgusted. Horrible service, horrible system where drivers can just suddenly change their mind with no explanation. I'm boiling mad. Zero stars would be more appropriate.

App said, "Payment is Processing. Please Wait" cab driver demanded cash. NYC: After paying with cc the app was stuck on, "Payment is processing. Please wait." The cab driver said the app was not working, and I had to pay in cash. He said he could not give us a receipt. People were impatiently waiting to get in the cab, so we were rushed. Of course, after we paid in cash, I checked my cc, which was also charged.
