Good Luck trying to cancel Elavon! We canceled our service with Elavon in November 2021, but they did not stop charging us until July 2023. They said we canceled PCI Compliance, but not our service. Does that make sense? We have contacted them multiple times, only to be told that a supervisor would call us back and guess what, that has not happened. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Elavon made a big JOKE with me on my vacation I was on vacation. My Converge online payment link stop working. Called support but they verified every details like bank account number, merchant id but didn't help me because they need batch ID, terminal number(which they think i always carry with me like a phone). The rep disconnected call which they not suppose. I decided to end up, 3rd attempt with rep they connected me customer service and that rep helped me to close my account by verifying all details. He said it was sad that you didn't got tech support which I suppose to get. Big surprise for me they didn't activate my online payment link but they CANCELED MERCHANT ACCOUNT with same verificayion details. Complicated customer service The man I talked to to sign up my account was very nice and helpful. Not to long after using it the card reader it broke so we got a different card reader (square) and stopped using the old one. We got a letter saying we owed money a few months later. We called to close the account and pay the fees but the gentleman (Paul I believe) we talk to was very rude to me and my mother and very unprofessional as we are just trying to figure this out. I talk to someone else a lady didn’t catch her name but was in the recovery department she was very helpful and nice and we ended up figuring everything out! So mixed reviews on this company kind of confusing to figure out.

All headache, little benefit for small businesses We tried to use Elavon as a small business because we had heard it might have better rates. The pricing was not transparent, the customer service was not helpful, the system was very difficult to log into and access, the buy button was a nightmare to set up and took days working with their tech team, and their system is so outdated their own tech support seems to have a hard time using it (some of it still runs in DOS). Pricing varies by type of card, online transaction vs in person swipe, etc. When I called and asked for their rates, the customer service agent was able to tell me a few things over the phone but refused to send us a price sheet and said the rates could change at any time. After more than 6 years of trying to navigate their system, we were just told that they closed our account with no notice. They claim to have called, but we confirmed the phone number and the email and have no calls, voicemails or emails from them regarding closing the account. Do not recommend.
