GBCharged for unecessary option I've been using HR Block since I started filing my own taxes. Tonight, when purchasing the software, I noticed that they automatically charge for an "extended download" feature that I did not select and that I do not lead. Just a warning to others that HR Block has adopted the sludge bull&$^% approach to making money. They are relying on the behavioral economics and human nature to trick people into paying for crap that they do not need. Naturally it is nonrefundable.

GBIf there was less than 1 rating If there was less than 1 rating, in any case, the short story is that their customer service is not professional. In addition, when you ask to speak with a manager, no one is available, which wasted an hour of my life. They don't honor the price of the pre-order if they don't send instructions or updates if you pre-order.

GBLast day of tax filing system and H&R… Last day of tax filing system and H&R Block announces it's filing system is down for maintenance. Didn't bother sharing that when they accepted my payment. How can your system be down on the last day to file return or request extension?

GBnot only wasn't i able to e-file my… not only wasn't i able to e-file my return due to bad gateway or "internet access" when it appeared to finally be working, it said my code wasn't valid because too many submissions had been made! because their system was bad is why there were so many submissions! Secondly, when I went to submit my company state taxes the program repeatedly had an error and kept shutting down. I had to keep restarting the program and my computer to get it to work. Thirdly, when another user of the program attempted to even use the (same) state program, he could not even get the program to load/open and had to manually print the form and hand fill in since the program would not open. A previous year, when the program was downloaded, it deleted all the prior year program details and wasn't able to transfer to the current year.

GBI opted to let an HRBlock agent do my… I opted to let an HRBlock agent do my 23 taxes. She finished and notified me. I went into the program to review and sign and the 2023 return was not listed. The 2022 return was and when I tried to open it, a screen appeared saying the program was not working. I have written over a dozen messages, communicated with three different people without any success. I telephoned HRB three times and spoke with three different people each time spending 4 hours on the phone. The last call they promised to contact me within 5 business days and didn't. I am wondering if a class action suit against this company is not in order.
