not only wasn't i able to e-file my… not only wasn't i able to e-file my return due to bad gateway or "internet access" when it appeared to finally be working, it said my code wasn't valid because too many submissions had been made! because their system was bad is why there were so many submissions! Secondly, when I went to submit my company state taxes the program repeatedly had an error and kept shutting down. I had to keep restarting the program and my computer to get it to work. Thirdly, when another user of the program attempted to even use the (same) state program, he could not even get the program to load/open and had to manually print the form and hand fill in since the program would not open. A previous year, when the program was downloaded, it deleted all the prior year program details and wasn't able to transfer to the current year.

User hostile features from this company… User hostile features from this company is astounding. Difficult to get past security wasted hours this year. System aggressively logs me off. No useful features. My tax preparer is wondeful but he is surrounded by incompetents above him.

If I could give negative stars I would If I could give negative stars I would. The service is abysmal for file on your own. The software didn’t compute cases correctly and the reviewer was not able to understand, despite the fact I sent screenshots of the errors. I was charged incorrectly for two state tax returns when I only needed 1. I can’t file the return because it’s incorrect and there is horrendous customer service. I am filing a complaint against the company and reporting this problem. I would never recommend this service.

Charged for unecessary option I've been using HR Block since I started filing my own taxes. Tonight, when purchasing the software, I noticed that they automatically charge for an "extended download" feature that I did not select and that I do not lead. Just a warning to others that HR Block has adopted the sludge bull&$^% approach to making money. They are relying on the behavioral economics and human nature to trick people into paying for crap that they do not need. Naturally it is nonrefundable.

They sign you up for an appt and they either change the time without your consent or they make you wait behind walk-ins and late appointments. I did my taxes online with a representative and after he finished he said he couldn’t help me and I had to go to an office. It has been a huge fiasco getting into an office and getting help. And they don’t even know how to file the form I need. So it’s all for nothing. Ridiculous.
