GBSo if I am going to shop online and can… So if I am going to shop online and can get cash back why shouldn't I? I have used it for purchases of everything from clothing, jewelry and even a home appliance. Very glad to have that extra money for my budget when I get my rebate even though one of my resolutions for 2024 is to be may more thoughtful about my spending.

GBThey take cash back away from you They take cash back away from you! If you do not track it, you will lose money without realizing. I ordered a smartphone from Samsung and received $90 in cash back in January. Today I look that cash back has been mysteriously changed to $22. I had taken a screenshot of my previously received cash back because I knew that they do this.

GBRakuten is pretty good most of the time Rakuten can save you money, on things you were buying anyway, though problems do crop up sometimes. Recently, I made a large purchase and they undid my cashback after the 30-day return period had passed on my purchase. The cashback had been shown as earned. I followed all of the rules as to categories and exclusions. They eventually agreed to fix it, but I would suggest keeping an eye on any larger cashbacks.

GBGreat app, easy to use, good company, needs to add scanning store receipts. When shopping online, it was a simple and easy process to use the Rakuten to get coupons and discounts and cash back and we already received our first check! The only thing I really don't like about it is that I would have to enter my credit card or debit card to get instore shopping coupons and cash back and I am worried about the security of doing that. I wish they would add a function to scan store receipts to get cash back on instore purchases instead of risking security of my credit card or debit card. Scanning store receipts is a lot safer and easier for the consumer.

GBRakuten was once amazing but there are much better options out there Rakuten was once amazing. Over the past few years the app and the service has gone downhill. Previously all trips were captured and the process was great! Over the last few years, not all shopping trips are captured and manually following up has become increasingly time consuming. It’s not worth a few cents. Reaching out to customer service is mediocre at best. The process to get a reward for a shopping trip that wasn’t automatically identified is tedious and customer service provides canned responses with no real way to escalate or resolve. Note for potential users-Don’t use ANY coupons or promotions because that invalidates the slim possibility of having a reward for your (already tracked data) shopping.
