GBI linked my personal platinum savings… I linked my personal platinum savings to my business account, when I first opened the account.3 months later, I linked to the same business account for a Zelle. They start saying my account is under review because it’s linked to business bank account. I would have to wait until 3 claims pending in another bank closes, before they release my funds… outrageous. They don’t call you to let you know what’s going on with your account. You find out, when you attempt to login . So you call them, it takes Them up to 10 days to let you speak to fraud department.. a nightmare bank

GBCIT rejected my application for a high rate savings I went on the internet to apply for an account 5 percent interest. I gave mother’s maiden name, SS, etc. i was sent an email saying i was rejected/. No reason, nothing? Unbelievable! Why waste the time filling in an application and receive a msg from CITY, am not acceptable? I have a credit rating of 840. Why is CIT bank doing with my personal info? Checking with the Better Business bureau, how they take personal info, and then send a rejection notice?

GBSame problem as others in opening account Same problem as many have stated. They advertise high rates, but then deny application and will not state why ("could be poor credit score, poor banking history, etc" none of which are true). Came here to leave feedback and noticed the terrible views from actual customers. Feel as if I dodged a bullet!

GBAbsolute horrible experience Absolute horrible experience. When I first applied to open a savings account, I was in the process of changing my name to my married name. I had my new social security card, new ID, but I didn’t know that once you link a bank account to transfer money, that bank account needed to be changed to the new name. My bank had to mail me a document to change my name and I had just mailed it back prior to trying to open the CIT account, so my bank was not done processing the change yet. CIT sent me an email saying the approval was on hold because they were concerned about identity theft and a representative would reach out to confirm identity. Four hours later I received another email just denying me. Talked to a representative on the phone who said once my other bank had my name change processed, to reapply and it would be no big deal. I have since reapplied 5 times over the past three weeks and am being immediately rejected each time. When I call the useless customer service line, they say it’s being denied for identity issues and there’s nothing and nobody I can talk to in order to fix this. I have a legal name change, everything is complete, ID social security bank everything. Yet they can’t help me. It’s absolutely absurd. I have never been denied a bank account/ credit card in my life. I have a significant amount of money I would depositing and a credit score of 840. I am happy they are concerned about identity theft and that’s an important thing to be concerned about. But there absolutely needs to be a way to overcome that concern for those of us that are indeed the actual person trying to open an account.
