GBAuto Loan Refi I wanted to lower my auto loan rate and looked online. I found a whole bunch of services that represent a whole bunch of lenders. They all wanted documents up front before giving out a rate. Who does that. I contacted Pen Fed, and with just a 5 min conversation I was given a rate quote (that was lower than elsewhere) and moving forward was super easy and pleasant. I already uploaded the 1 document they needed and I will be getting the loan file in a day or two, and that's it.

GBPenFed is like the USO for your wallet PenFed has been there for me in tough times as a disabled veteran and I greatly appreciate them. They also have a policy and ethos of doing for others and helping those in need that I very much appreciate and respect. For those reasons I will always keep a flame burning at PenFed. But they also have great rates to offer for loans, credit cards and checking and savings accounts, and are very veteran friendly. They are very friendly for regular folks too and pop up on many a YouTuber's top five list of best credit unions in the country. Best financial institutions period. Highly recommend.

GBPreapproval process was great Preapproval process was great. No credit score ding. Interest rate was very honest. Fast and efficient process. Helped me get another loan when other lenders wouldn't. Great job Penfed CU.

GBPenFed is without question the best PenFed is without question the best, most professional/caring and genuinely customer oriented financial institution that I have worked with in over 29 years

GBPros and Cons PROs: -Competitive rates on loans if you have good credit. -Easy to open an account. -Very friendly and responsive customer service. CONs: -Technology-side is absolutely awful. The website and mobile app straight up do not work from some clients! This is a real deal killer for a mostly on-line financial institution. I would advise PenFed really look to modernize their online and mobile banking infrastructure and get off whatever this incredibly janky Salesforce back-end is.
