There is absolutely no way to speak to… ***update*** I have now canceled my accounts, which btw, you still have to go through chat. First, with a "regular" representative, then get chat transferred to a retention chat representative lol. Unbelievable.*** There is absolutely no way to speak to a person on the phone anymore. Everything from identity theft to disputes requires you to go on the app and use live chat, which they don't know much of anything. Varo didn't use to be like this. I've been with them for years. For now, I'll keep the account, but I have 3 other bank accounts, so it won't be used. Only because I don't feel like going through chat again after spending 45 minutes to get nowhere with my question. How useful is a bank when you can't reach anyone?

Worst banking experience Ever!!!! No customer service you can only CHAT and they end chat when they are do e talking to you. Belive is a scam they hold your money for 30 days Plus 1 business day just for a hotel deposit. And when you try to resolve it they tell you there is nothing they can do you just have to wait. They have no answers and tell you there is nothing that they can do. There is no way to escalate a situation you just get hung up on and told "I understand your frustration" Please use ANY other banking institution and tell everyone you know as well. You are better off giving your money to a random person with a coffee can. They would be more helpful.

Not worth using anymore Everything was great up until the last month. My direct deposits were consistent but in the last month they are posting later and later but my employer has over 10,000 employees and sends deposits the same time every pay period. I’m going to switch because I don’t trust them anymore! My deposit should of hit last night , bills are due and they don’t even offer live customer service!

$400.72 deposit into wrong account number. UPDATE: Failed to verify contact info and deposited my $400.72 into someone else's account. Giving the run around on getting transaction reversed. Accepted a direct deposit with non matching contact info. I sent them the transaction receipt and time after time they failed to find the mistake. I finally notice the 2nd digit of the account number is wrong. I call to their attention and get nothing. They know which account the money went to yet they won't dpo anything about it. I have been waiting for a direct deposit since 03/12/2024. Since the contact details did not match the bank account number - I'm not sure why the bank accepted the money. Very frustrated and keep getting "It's been escalated and you'll be contacted within 48 hours." It's been a full month now. Once I find out it's on Varo's end that the money isn't there I initially made contact on April 2nd only to be told - They would contact me 2 business days later. So I contact them this morning at the same time I initiated the query only to be told that I needed to wait until end of day. I've been waiting on this money now for a month as of tomorrow. Attempted to call back this evening bc I didn't hear from them only to get a message to call back during business hours. Tomorrow is Friday so if they don't find my money - I'm screwed! I have bills to pay and Varo need to get with it and credit my account.. IDK what I;m gonna do if I don't get funds tomorrow!!
