Convenience. Have gotten a number of big loans through Altra federal credit Union in Tyler and Bank there. Everything has always went smooth and never had to even go in the door. Now thats convenience.

Glenda Donley - awesome Altra employee! Glenda Donley was so very helpful. I received a fraud alert on my phone and immediately called Altra. They quickly responded and shut down my account for safety. I can only imagine what would have happened if Altra had not caught it! Glenda checked my accounts and reassured me that all is up and running again. Thank you so much Glenda and also to the Ultra team - YOU ROCK!

Excellent service, great benefits, kind staff Staff at Altra are personable and kind. Not only is there no fee for checking, but you get interest. I had a great experience getting my first mortgage and with refinancing when the interest rates had dropped. My debit card has been protected by fraud alert staff. It just feels both safe and homey to bank at Altra. Even though I moved to the Twin Cities over 8 years ago, I've continued to keep my money at Altra because of the positive experience I have had there.

Waiting on the phone takes forever and… Waiting on the phone takes forever and once it is answered they forward your call putting you back into the wait loop, emails go un answered and online chat no longer exists or can be found if it does exist yet. I’m simply trying to get a verification number to use Apple Wallet with my Altra cards and they have ignored every request. Their service is abhorrent and inexcusable.

You pay a fee to pay a loan. Tried making a payment on a loan over the phone and there's a $10 service charge... Went online to try and make an account and the page wouldn't load, so ended up paying the $10 fee to pay as a "guest". Making your customers pay a fee just to PAY their loan. Smart business decision..
