Stranded in NYC - Aon Saved the Day! My husband and I ended up stranded in NYC after a week long vacation. We didn't have anything bu tour backpacks - we were terrified and knew this could end up being quite the unexpected expense! Luckily we had trip insurance and filed a claim through Aon. It was easy to do and had an incredibly impressive turnaround time. We fully recovered all of our expenses due to our trip delay and I will ALWAYS travel with trip insurance from now on!

Being Clarified Allow me to start over. My wife spoke with and corresponded with Royal Caribbean, not you all. I take blame for not understanding. I should have trashed them, not you all. I apologize. Thanks for responding to these posts. Royal Caribbean said they didn’t offer the certificate, but that you all (Aon Affinity) did. We have 2 certificates in hand from you all from our initial extension that was provided. It’s signed “Aon Affinity Travel Practice.” Is that you all? I have an original booking number and credit number. Would that help you all help us?

Medical emergency while traveling When you buy travel insurance it should cover what is stated. It shouldn’t be a long, drawn out process. Having to re-submit every few days with more information, or expanding on the information already given should not be part of the process. After weeks of this process when they decide to reimburse you for your expenses, it doesn’t let you submit how you want your reimbursement. They just send a check in the end. I may or may not add this insurance to any further trips.

A surprise change of events on my cruise We added travel insurance to a recent cruise. Unfortunately, I got Covid on the ship and was treated and quarantined. We lost that last few days. Aon was so quick with the response. As soon as the health insurance provided their piece, Aon issued immediate reinbursement for the balance. It was efficient and much appreciated.

Lack of Help from AON AON and Royal Caribbean should send a copy of the specifics of the insurance. My 16 year old grandson could not go on the trip because he had just got a job. He cancelled 3 weeks before the trip. I filed on the insurance on the boat with the help of an employee of the Royal Caribbean. There was back and forth communication, then nothing. I was even told they didn’t have my reference number. How do you lose that? I am very disappointed with your service and lack of communication.
