DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. when we bought our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan less than a year ago, the dealer talked us into buying a platinum plan from United Car Care. we were hesitant but finally gave in and spent the $3,000.00 to get the plan. I was in Florida and my oil change time came up so I took it to a local shop. They changed the oil and told me that my cv axle needed replaced. I knew that it would be covered but did not want to get t done in Florida. On my way home I noticed my check Engine light came on and a distinct ticking was coming from the motor so I came home to KY and took the car to my local Dodge Dealer. My dealer told me that the cv axle needed replaced and the boot was wearing on the brake line. They called United and they were told that the cv axle was not covered and they would only pay a percentage of what it cost to open the engine up to diagnose what is wrong. We were sure there was a miscommunication, so we called United ourselves. The man who we talked to was absolutely condescending. He said we should of replaced the boot so it did not wear on brake line and the policy says they don't cover anything that is from a lack of maintenance. He said that they would pay a reasonable amount towards opening up the top of the motor. NEVER AGAIN will we trust a warranty company. I would give UNITED CAR CARE a minus 10 if I could.

BIG SCAM! DO NOT PURCHASE This is my third Duramax that I have owned, and I have experienced problems with the DEF system on every one of these trucks. That said, I purchased the $3500 platinum coverage for peace of mind, with the understanding that I had bumper to bumper coverage with the exception of general maintenance things like brakes and oil changes. I am currently stuck almost 1000 miles away from home because the DEF injector pump failed. It's bad enough that I'm living in a hotel room for the past two days, but now I come to find out that UCC has denied coverage for the very reason I purchased their warranty in the first place! I am beyond disappointed! What a $3500 SCAM! I spoke with them and they said it wasn't covered because it's an emissions issue which I was not aware wasn't covered. More importantly, the mechanics involved tells me that it is NOT an emissions issue, it's an injector pump which is pre-emissions. Bottom line is, if you don't want the run-around or a false peace of mind, don't purchase this scam! It's no wonder they have such a poor online review!

Do not buy this warranty! Our truck has been in the shop for 2 weeks. We have a warranty with United Car Care and it turns out we need a new engine. They denied the claim on the basis of a “pre existing condition” from a previous owner (we bought it when it had 40,109 miles). WE PROVIDED EVERY RECEIPT FOR TIMELY OIL CHANGES during our ownership. Now, we can’t get anyone on the phone to resolve the issue. Never, ever, purchase this warranty for a used vehicle, or any vehicle for that matter. They are shady and will just ghost you when you need them. At the VERY LEAST, we should get our money back for purchasing this terrible “warranty”.

Consumer BEWARE Consumer BEWARE! United Car Care is a contract administrator for Car Shield vehilcle warranties. Two claims denied. No process to appeal, review or mediate resolution. Don't purchase Car Shield or any insurance which used United Car Care. No coverage for what we paid for. These two companies do not deserve a one star.
