GBWill find any excuse to charge you excesses I paid £30 - £40 per month for 5 years for pet insurance for rabbits and I wish I had just put it in a savings account as my rabbit developed a skin condition in 2021 and I visited the vet 4 separate occasions for treatment and Petplan found every reason to charge me an excess each time. If you use this company make sure you really understand the policy and what wording your vet or you use for each claim. A waste of nearly £3k :-( I wont make the mistake again.

GBThank you, Stacy, for your assistance Thank you for your assistance, Stacy! Who knew getting my dog’s records would almost be as complex as my own? Today, finally, Stacy said she’d intervene and request those forms on my behalf so that our claims could be processed. 🤞🏾I appreciated Stacy’s patience and kindness. Please thank her for me.

GBBeware and double check your policy. Petplan added exclusions to policy after it had been issued and did not inform me of there addition. I decided to continue the insurance that came with my dog from a well known rescue centre. Petplan put so many exclusions on the policy, that it was pointless having the insurance. Petplan received a vet report saying no health problems with a dog and then exclude every part of the dog practically, and want to charge £700. I don't think so... I have cancelled the policy as it's not worth the paper its written on. It is very evident they do not want to insure animals that come from rescue centres even though they have been vet checked! I cannot think of any other reason for their actions. Also what is more worrying is the deception l experienced. I was sent a policy by email which had no exclusions, was informed that the underwriter would email me if there were exclusions. I got no email from the underwriter. I went online to set up my Petplan login 6 days later only to find they had added about 8 exclusions which covered practically every system of the dog. How sneaky is that Petplan. You are misleading your customers, adding things to their policy without informing them.

CATerrible Customer Service Great unless you have to deal with customer service... Forget getting service. Terrible!! If your lucky you might get one out of several who actually does their job and provides customer service. But they give you an answer that doesn't help then disconnect you from the chat without being able to respond.

NZLast year we purchased a Burmese kitten… Last year we purchased a Burmese kitten from a registered breeder in NZ. The kitten came with one month's insurance with Pet Plan. Unfortunately our kitten became unwell soon after we got him home. He had three acute viral infections and needed two nights acue treatment at the vets. When we went to claim the $2000 from Petplan- they declined stating the kitten became unwell on day 6 and their cover did not kick in until day 7. They did not reconsider in spite of correspondence and support from our vet.We informed the breeder who has now changed from Petplan. WE WILL NEVER DEAL WITH PETPLAN AGAIN.
