AHS provided great service AHS provided great service through local professionals. I am very satisfied with how they solved problems with either parts or like-kind brand new replacements. There were times when I would have preferred to pay for an upgrade but I understood the conditions of this service when I signed up. Regardless, I have no complaints in the several times we used them as they definitely lived up to their commitments in all cases. I can definitely recommend AHS as a very good home appliance insurance company.

Worth Every Penny I trust American Home Shield to be responsive to my service requests and always get good service. I’ve received great service through the years. I can only recall 1 electrician that I was not pleased with but the majority of their contractors are knowledgeable and very professional. I wouldn’t be without American Home Shield.

False advertising and promises from AHS! I read pretty good reviews with AHS and left my old home warranty company as they were not very helpful with previous claims to sign up with AHS. I signed up with AHS in early March. This year, it has been pretty cool and cold until now in April when it is getting warmer. I turned my A/C on recently and discovered that it was not throwing cold air. Their A/C repair guy came to check unit and said it was secondary to leak of condenser coil and called it a "pre-existent condition." How can it be pre-existent if it did not start working until now. AHS did not want to put their part even though the contract clearly says it covers corrosion and condenser leakages. They are complete scam artists! I will be cancelling now and looking for a more honest company. Thanks for nothing AHS!

Worst home warranty company ever Worst home warranty company ever! They never cover anything - they always say it’s not their responsibility. Or they’ll cover some of it and you still need to come out of pocket with over $1000. EVERY TIME I file a claim with them it’s the same story and answer. Now I’m dealing with a major flood because they refuse to do anything they’re supposed to do.

Drain line failure, Claim denied for clearly untrue reasons. After a drain line underneath our home wore out due to age American home shield decided that it was the concrete floor that caused the pipe to collapse and we were denied coverage. This was not the opinion of the plumber, but something that they decided. When we asked for a second opinion, they couldn't find another plumber in our area (of 120,000 + residents) to come and look at the issue. American Home Sheild is a complete waste of money. Unless you want to donate a monthly amount to this company for absolutely no reason, you should save your money. You get the added bonus of waiting weeks to attempt to resolve problems, that they will not cover. A massive waste of time and a significant amount of additional stress will enter your life if you buy an American Home Sheild policy and something actually goes wrong.
