GBTerrible company they denied our claim Terrible company they denied our claim, after many times being hung up on by claims department, an agent slipped up stating the company didn't have enough money to cover this claim Our friend's wife tried to run him over at our house, they were arguing at the time when she crashed into our car and our motorhome we live in, with his vehicle which was insured by Metromile, luckily he jumped out of the way. She then proceeded to back up and take off leaving him standing there. We have all this on video and our claim is still denied by Deante Gaines in Tempe, AZ After 30 days we received two denial letters, 1 saying she was an excluded driver on the policy, and 2. Stated their client didn't have a policy at the time of the accident. I was in motorhome when hit and was injured, our motorhome, door won't shut, cabinets are loose from ceiling, ext, and we just finished a remodel, plus, my car is wrecked, Unbelievable, pathetic insurance company.

GBI like Metromile because I don't drive⦠I like Metromile because I don't drive that much so the fact that I can just pay for the miles I drive is a plus for me. When I first signed up, I was worried about going to road trips but I was pleasantly surprised that all miles over 250 per day are free. However I do think that the base rate could be lower.

GBGood insurance for city drivers I have had Metromile for years and have used them for a major accident I was in. I got hit by someone and it caused a lot of damage. Though I did not have a rental as part of my insurance, they gave me one anyway. I assume it was because the other insurance company was going to pay for it anyway. I realize this is an ideal scenario if you are going to be in an accident. The process for getting the car into the shop, looked at, repairs approved, etc. was a few days...like within a week. They then handled everything on my behalf with the other insurance company. I thought I was going to have to pay my deductible when I picked up my car, but they covered that too and just added it to the bill for the other insurance company. Keep in mind, this really is an insurance for city drivers, those that just commute a reasonable distance to and from work, and those that do local driving. The rates are great and base costs are really low. I keep shopping around for new insurance and nothing ever comes remotely close. For those that complain about being "monitored," I say this with a ton of love and respect: it's highly unlikely that anyone is really that interested in your life.

GBDevices are a bummer The insurance itself has been fine. The devices are pretty bad though. There are two options. One plugs into the OBD2 port, the other plugs into the "lighter" port. The first drains my battery because I don't drive enough to offset the small steady drain. The second doesn't connect within the average duration of my occasional short drives, so I wind up getting alerts that it hasn't connected for too long, and then I have to go drive around to get it to connect. Since the whole point of the insurance is that it's for drivers who drive very little, having neither device work well for that situation is pretty problematic.

GBCrooked Insurance Company I was trying to cancel my insurance with this company and they would not cancel it until I reported them to consumer protection agency. They wanted to charge me on no signal fees for as long as they could for a car that was sold. They will try to charge you on technicality. Do not trust or do business with this company. I cannot imagine if I would have got into an accident, how would they protect me. Their customer service is pathetic. It does not matter who you talk to. They sound and act like robots. The are owned by Lemonade insurance. They are a tech company.
