The agent was uninterested in the… The agent was uninterested in the conversation, she did her job, but no real engagement. She was also working with a company I had to submit documents to meet their criteria. She raised my premium, because of the changes in my business income. 4 days later, I do not meet the criteria and cant because HISCOX doesn't offer supplemental umbrella coverage. So, all of the time I spent on the phone making sure this will go through, HISCOX raised my premium and I cant meet their criteria. Sorry, but I'm looking around. Needless to say, I would not recommend Hiscox.

What Home Emergency Cover?? I have a home emergeny claim with them at this time. My family and I have been without any hotwater or heating for the last 5 days. Ive been told it will take another 2 days before they can arrange an enginner to rectify the issue. No alternaitive accommodation has been provided for the length of the issue and Hiscox have washed their hands of the issue saying i need to complain directly to their emergency cover provider. Given it will be a week since weve have heating or hot water i would have had far quicker resolution by co tacting a contractor myself.

Disappointed customer of Hiscox I have been a customer of Hiscox for years. They basically have no online tools for simple transactions/changes to your policy, such as changing the credit card that gets billed for it. I waited on hold on the dial-in number for 15 minutes, only to be disconnected automatically. These days, not having a simple online customer portal system for interacting with your product/services is absurd.

I can't recommend hiscox to any small business. Misleading marketing. Terrible support. Rude claims department who blatantly reject claims that I confirmed would be covered multiple times with the sales rep. Late responses (or none at all). Overall a complete waste of money, pathetic experience and I can't recommend this company to any small business.

Hiscox is unfair in its dealings to loyal customers After waiting six months on my claim for damaged done to my custom double doors during a delivery from Lowes in August 2023, Hiscox made an offer today and the amount does NOT cover all expenses. As instructed, I got an estimate from two companies. I only submitted one. Only for them to tell me they will NOT pay all of it. Tell me how does a loyal customer whose door was damaged during a delivery is in any way financially responsible? That's like me damaging the other door in my set and then calling Hiscox telling them to pay for the damage I call. This is robbery and very unfair. I waited six long months only to be duped again by a company that advertises that it is so good. Please. They should close.
