It's a scam, don't buy They are con artists that will do everything in their power to not cover anything listed in your contract. Not to mention it takes them weeks to assign a technician to your home, their reimbursement option doesn't make sense, and their policies yield no results other than making you pay full price with no coverage.

Poor and unethical claim service We have the "Comprehensive Plan" home warranty policy with The Home Service Club / Choice Home Warranty. Had to replace our washing machine which was covered by the policy. Company agreed to pay the claim and that they would send us a check. We needed a new machine so went out immediately and bought one figuring we'd apply the claim settlement once we received the check. Check never came and instead we got an email a couple weeks later with an attached electronic gift card to Lowe's. We contacted Home Service Company (HSC) and they acknowledged it was their mistake that they didn't issue a check but that there was nothing they could do to change it. We them went to Lowe's but they would not accept the gift card as payment to our credit balance. After 4 or 5 more calls to HSC we continued to get the run around from every claim person we talked to and all of them refused to let us talk to a supervisor or manager and even suggested they don't have access to the address or phone numbers of their corporate offices. Horrible, horrible service! So now I'm stuck having to go buy something else from Lowe's if I want to be reimbursed for our claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Good Luck Getting Paid!!! Good Luck Getting Paid!!! I'd give a zero star if possible....as a service provider, we have been trying to get paid since November, 2023. We have submitted no less than 20 attempts and get the run around. Impossible to get a human who can assist. What a scam. Contractors BEWARE!!

Rip Off. Don't get this one. 1st claim for dishwasher. Their rep says that they have an internal formula that is not part of their contract that allows them to deny paying ANY cost for my replacement unit. Since the value of my dishwasher is zero they are offering me a courtesy credit of $100 if I purchase from Lowe's which happens to be most expensive brands... So I paid over $600 and just moved into my very first home to get ripped off in a whole new way from these people. Yeah they are somehow claiming to be honoring their contract.

Its now september Its now september; this began in may. home service club still won't replace freezer, even though two of their technicians said freezer is shot. And now home service won't even return phone calls. we are forced to get a lawyer and report to better business bureau and california dept of insurance. What are we to think? what can we do? we are now facing an organization that appears to be in scam mode. we hope this reaches people thinking of joining home service club.
