How to get duped When I only could give 0 stars – Here’s why: In 10/3023 I bought 2 five-year HSC warranty contracts for 2 rentals. At one rental I filed a claim with HSC on Monday, January 8th 2024 in the morning, because the water heater seemed to be not working. A technician will contact me, HSC said. When NO technician contacted me, on Tuesday I called the technician’s company and asked, when they will inspect the water heater and the answer was: Friday. I told them that is not acceptable to have no hot water for so long in the winter. Finally, they sent a technician on Wednesday. Thursday, I asked HSC, they declined the claim because of corrosion. The technician told me, that he didn’t mention corrosion in his report. It is not acceptable to take so much time for a decision - and for no corrosion stated in the report. I canceled the contract. For the other rental I canceled the contract as well – with no claim, because I don’t need a contract for nothing. I paid for 2 five-year contracts for two rentals $3,899.70 and after only 3 month and no approved claim they only refunded $2,313.96. The difference is and I paid: $1,585.74. That’s why I can NOT recommend Home Service Club.

We have an unspoken and odd "tradition"… We have an unspoken and odd "tradition" of just inadvertently destroying devices in our homes. The agents are always friendly and welcoming given all the times we've called! The service call is only $75 and it could be replaced if they can't fix it. We love that HSC values our long tradition of using something until it is really useles..

Save your money Terrible company. It has been 2 months and I still can't get my faucet fixed. Plumber comes and collect his service fee (literally a 5 min visit to take some pictures) and then will not return to complete the job as he says HSC will not agree to the submitted estimate. Who is at fault the plumber or the warranty company? Neither will take responsibility and leaves me the customer without a working faucet. Supposedly they will give a pro-rated refund if a contract is cancelled. I do not put much hope they will follow through on that promise. The only thing HSC is good at is sales and marketing.

They underwrite Choice Home Warrant in… They underwrite Choice Home Warranty in California. Both Home Service Club and Choice are scams. I requested service for covered item. They did not find a provider and emailed that I could find one and that they would reimburse minuse the service fee. Lies,scam, and thief's. Thr provider provided some info saying he did not work for these crooks. Claim denied within 5 minutes. Of course appeal was no better. In California Choice is licensed by Home Service Club. Scammers——-Do Not Buy ——- This will be referred to Attorney General's office in California. See Arizona Class Action Suit against Choice. Scammers and bullies. I will not tolerate this manipulation. I paid 875.00 for the service and 1700 for a multi year plan for nothing. What’s up Home Service Club and Choice Home warranty??? Business model- Promise a lot, and deny coverage as much as possible. Truly reprehensible!

Company does NOT pay contractors Company does NOT pay contractors. Do not work for Choice, Home Service Club, Home Warranty of America or their new company name Rely Home. They gave my company authorization to make a repair for $765 but only paid $165 on the invoice. When I inquired they closed my contractor account and placed payments for all outstanding invoices on hold for 180 days. It has now been over a year and they say the policy is 365 days before they will escalate my payment request and 6-12 months before a possible resolution. This company scams homeowners out of money for contracts and contractors out of HARD earned money. I have paid out for technicians labor and parts to perform services for them that I will likely never be paid for. We are talking thousands of dollars.
