GBDid not contact me I purchased a policy in October of 2015 for a trip in September 2016. My trip was canceled and another trip was given to me for the same price. I emailed Insure and Go twice and received a confirmation message saying someone would contact me. No one contacted me either time. I eventually called and was helped by Jared who helped me change my policy. Jared did a good job, but I am irritated that no one ever contacted me.

GBFrustrate purchasing at InsureandGo I called 3 times to find a real person to talk to since their office closes at 6 PM eastern time, it is our time at 3 PM. The communication between the representative and me was poor. I was hard to understand what she said. Even worse was she asked me which date I paid for my air tickets. How can I remember? I've never been asked this question before at previous 6 purchases. Why need this? I did not finish my second person's purchase since it took me a long time for myself's policy. Later, I called the InsureMyTrip agent. The purchase was much smoother and easier. It only took me a short time to finish the another person's policy purchase. Their office opens to midnight.

GBThe good and bad - Product is great - prices are good - customer service is terrible. Email server did not work. Company works no evenings.

GBDon't trust insureandgo to treat you fairly or honestly. Medical emergency forced and early return home from Sydney, Australia in Feb. 2016. Contacted insureandgo with no real help. Bought a ticket home to receive immediate medical care that was not available in Sydney. They reimbursed me for the ticket (they would not purchase) but then would not pay for my pre-paid non-refundable scheduled trip home. Said, "they already refunded me for my ticket". Subtracted the reimbursement once from my emergency ticket and THEN AGAIN from cost of my package trip return airfair cost. Nice way (crooked) to save paying non-refundable costs they say they cover. Impossible to contact and they will not return calls. Say they will pay then don't. Don't deal with them.

GBI only get voicemail! I needed to cancel a trip after it became clear a close relative had only a few months to live. Even though I was requesting a reimbursement of less than $500., the documentation requirements were more than I could easily provide. When I tried to contact Insure and Go to discuss this, I could never get through to a live person. Calling during business hours, I repeatedly got a message stating "this mailbox is full". Very frustrating, and I definitely won't insure with this company again.
