What a horrible and dishonest company What a horrible and dishonest company. Their client caused an accident that wrecked our car. Liberty Mutual accepted liability, then hired an appraiser that was very dishonest in his appraisal. For the comps, he used cars at local dealerships, but he falsified the sales prices. Each car he used as a comp was selling for 2-4k higher than what he listed. This caused our appraisal to come in 2-4k lower than the actual cash value of the car. Very dishonest company all the way around.

Greedy, crooked, overpriced!! I have been with liberty mutual for 8 years. When I purchased my truck insurance was $181 a month. They have increased rates at 25-30% each year. They are crooks. I am a college graduate, good credit and have been driving for 30 yrs. I had one accident in 2016 and a perfect record otherwise. They are ridiculous, after this month I will never do business with these thieves, will never recommend them, and they are the greediest company I have ever done business with. Nothing impressive, overpriced, terrible customer service. STAY AWAY!!

Negligent Company Liberty mutual emailed me a bunch of confirmation emails, mailed me a certificate of automotive insurance, but turns out they lied to me and the insurance was cancelled. I only found out because i logged into the website to print a new insurance card and it had no mention of my auto insurance. no error messages, warnings. i called support and they said it had been cancelled, and made me start all the way over again with taking all my info like i was a new customer. last time that call took 30 min. after being 10 min through i said "you know what, i don't have time for this, good bye" and hung out. i turned on the tesla app on my phone and turned back on their insurance without talking to a human. it took me about 4 minutes and didnt require entering any new payments, address, driving history. its such a beautiful user experience. i've been a Liberty Mutual customer for 5 years, including car insurance, but they act like im a new customer everytime i get on a call with them. so embarrassing for that company.

Better insurance coverage is available at other companies! We were customers of liberty mutual for over twenty years which is my mistake. Should have checked with other insurance companies sooner. Come to find out that LM was charging us for years at rates five times more than the average quote I received from others companies. The other insurance companies were offering better coverage as well. There is no account oversight so they just keep increasing your rates ALOT! You’d think customer loyalty would mean something but not at LM! Lost this customer for good and warn everyone to beware. Now I understand why most reviews of LM are much lower than other companies.

Liberty Mutual is trash, expensive and provides poor service. Company is absolute trash. Their insurance options are about the same as any company, and at first, their premiums seemed decent. After the first two years, they increased premiums by 40% (with no accidents, no policy issues whatsoever, no tickets) and auto renewed the policy. When I found out, I spoke to someone and they couldn't find a way to lower coverage, so I cancelled and went with Progressive, for better coverage that was about $100 cheaper per month. A month later, they claim I didn't cancel, and their supervisors on the phone pretend that I agreed to something I didn't. When I told them to listen to the call, she said she would have to escalate it but it wouldn't prove that I wouldn't have to pay unless I proved I had insurance with another company. She basically called me a liar, saying I didn't have insurance, and threatened me with going to collections. I emailed a long letter with proof of insurance on the same day I called. They haven't resolved the situation yet but this company is absolutely garbage. Just listen to customers, address their concerns, follow through with what you say you will do, and help customers the best that you can. Stop increasing prices for customers thinking we won't notice or care. You cannot justify increasing a car insurance premium by 40%, increasing total cost for over $1200, when the person had no changes to policy, no tickets, no claims or accidents. Geico, AllState, State Farm, and Progressive are superior in every way. Avoid this company, they are not worth the hassle and will absolutely take advantage of any situation they can.
