Poor customer service I chose this company because they courier car insurance. They gave me a reasonable quote and I paid the annual premium. The next day, before the policy took effect, they called me to say that they couldn't insure me. I asked about a refund and was told there would be a £60 cancellation fee. As the policy hadn't yet started, how could there be a cancellation fee? They were adamant and so I said that I would contact Trading Standards and also asked for details of their complaints procedure. A few minutes later they called me back to say that I would get a full refund. One positive note was that the refund was paid within a few days.

Bought insurance for my bike 27 march thought no more had accident police involved who checked insurance database to discover I'm not insured. Check my bank and not only have they taken full amount of £96.60 but also another payment end on April for £27. Police spoke to them and they say they cancelled my policy after not sending in documents to them but I've never had an email and they say they asked for NCD proof but i declared i had non anyway. Total scam to be dealt with by ombudsman and police. Where that leaves my claim who knows.

wish I could give zero stars policy… wish I could give zero stars policy cancelled due to speeding offence on my licence which wasn't declared, couldn't offer me another policy but charging me £ 165 cancellation fee. absolutely disgusting avoid I will never use rcib again. absolutely useless customer service I was promised a call back nobody called and it goes on. AVOID

Terrible Terrible, terrible! I supplied them with proof of my claims as requested, they came back stating that it was in 2022 (within a year). I gave them they updated proof as requested, also my insurance went up a lot. Not only that, but I now have received an email stating that my insurance has gone up regardless. Also, asked how much to cancel insurance? I was told £180 plus even though I have not been with them a month and did put down a deposit. They are crooks, and you can hear call centre staff talking to other clients and swearing.

Shocking Shocking. Rude customer service after I've been waiting 5 weeks for a refund during a time when money is needed. That's after insuring with RCIB last year, paying, then discovering one month into the policy that they hadn't finished the paperwork their end leaving me uninsured. Glad I didn't have a crash in that month because they would've washed their hands of me. They're cheap because they're incompetent. First review I've ever written. Stay away from RCIB.
