Sad story, happy ending! Petlink, As a rescue group, we have found Microchips an invaluable tool in helping to ensure the safety of dogs we adopt out. I am just following up with you regarding dog “Georgie “ that was recently returned to us because of his Petlink microchip. We adopted out Georgie to a woman eight years ago. Unfortunately, she had recently passed away and Georgie was found as a stray on the streets. It was a very sad situation since she loved the dog Very much. As a Rescue group ,we implant Petlink Microchips on all of the dogs we rescue.We are always listed on the microchip as a back up contact. This is a perfect example of how well the Petlink microchip system works by returning dogs to a safe place, even when the owner has passed away. Georgie is now back safely in our care! Petlink I rescued a GSD that is chipped with this company. The original human in her life and I have tried to get her transferred to my contact information. First: the chip industry is dysfunctional in our situation. Don't rescue an animal that has been chipped and registered without documentation from the registry company the transfer happened. Finally, Petlink can't answer your challenges Professionally over the phone. I provided them with her Veterinarian record but it wasn't good enough. Petlink will take your money. This is my 7th GSD. Thanks Petlink, I'll never adopt another animal that has been chipped. Oh yeah, my GSD partner and I will look over our shoulder or I'll get the chip removed.

PetLink is the best thing you’ll never… PetLink is the best thing you’ll never know you need! I signed up as a precautionary measure a few years ago and it wasn’t until I needed it did I realize how critical they are to use! Our dog was being cared for by family members and when he got out, it was PetLink that let us know he was found by a local shelter. We did not receive any calls from our family or the shelter so we wouldn’t have known otherwise. He had be lost for almost 2 hours before we got the email so who knows how long before we would have heard elsewhere. Thank you PetLink for keeping watch of our doggo!

Family vacation saved! On family vacation our senior Boston Terrier “explored” a bit too far and got lost from the house. He is deaf and basically blind so we were a tad panicked to say the least. Totally forgetting we had him microchipped we received a call (only an hour and half later) from the local area’s vet that Butch had been found. I honestly thought the microchipping was a waste when we first had it done but now am beyond grateful. Everyone in the family will be getting chipped this week! 😉

I found a dog that had a chip… I found a dog that had a chip registered to someone. I was told they reached out. I never received a call from said owner so I called pet link again for a follow up and they hung up on me. I called again shortly after and the guy on the phone was annoyed saying I’ve reported the dog three times. False, only did it once. At first they were nice and I was considering getting my own dog chipped with them. But now that I know they clearly don’t care about reuniting the dog to the owner, not gonna happen.
