USRefinancing always takes a great deal… Refinancing always takes a great deal of information, and much of it has to be delivered at the last minute for some reason. Despite that fact, I felt Brightpath did a very good job of helping me to navigate the roadblocks. Things could have probably gone a little smoother, but all in all my loan closed, I save money every month and I would use them again if I needed to.

USNot a Smooth Transaction Unfortunately, I did NOT have a smooth transaction. Everything started out smooth enough, and, for whatever reason, things got 'messy'. I kept having to fill out the same paperwork multiple times, my loan officer went 'ghost' for a short period of time (no one could answer any questions while he was out so I HAD to wait for him to resurface) and the underwriting process was very messy (kept being asked for documents I'd already sent). And the coup da gracious was...the day of my closing (2:00 PM)...it wasn't until 11:30 or so that I was told the amount to bring to closing...oh & funds had to be WIRED vs bring a cashier's check. Then to top it all off...the closing attorney was sent the wrong paperwork by (I'm guessing) the title company Brightpath used to close my loan. SO I ended up having to meet with that attorney TWICE. I should be lucky that I did closed; I was given an initial closing date, the seller came into town for it but that was around the time my loan officer went ghost & NO ONE could answer WTH happened. How was I given a closing date & I found out my file wasn't even in underwriting. I don't believe the seller was compensated for their wasted trip into town...WOW!!! Everything was just so botched up that I honestly keep looking for a certified letter saying the house isn't really mine...that's how horrible this transaction was for me. That was my experience...I wish everyone else the best of luck. P.S. I had my credit together, knew what house I wanted to buy, the seller & I had already negotiated the sale price AND I had $$$ for my downpayment/closing costs; so no; it was NOT me!!!

USPoor Experience Too difficult to work with. Rude to client's agents. Unprepared with wiring instructions at closing. Would not do mail-off closing for out of state seller.

USOverall smooth process Overall smooth process. There was a little more back/forth with negotiations around final terms/rates. There were errors made on settlement statement where taxes/insurance escrows were not calculated correctly.
