CAI have never seen a thing like this in… I have never seen a thing like this in my entire life. We are in a world where people don’t follow due process any more and keep to terms and conditions. I had a one year contract with Brightpath and before the contract could end, I had informed them I will not be renewing the contract as I was looking to go to an A bank. After going back and forth with them they eventually agreed. I had emailed them letting them know that I will be going elsewhere as their interest rate was out of this world and they are always never accessible through phone calls. My lawyer sent them a message letting them know we want to pay off the loan of $165,000 and this people are asking for extra $35000 extra for no reasons what so ever.we have been consistent in our payments and has never owe them. I have told them I will take them up as no one deserved this bully

GBEfficient and responsive at start, but less so after we committed to them. They were great while we were shopping. After we dropped the other companies they were less responsive. Pretty much handled in the length of time they said. The actual closing paperwork had several errors. They immediately sold the loan, and we were not notified. It took several calls to confirm the situation and get details. In the process we ended up making 2 loan payments in the first month so as not to run the risk of recording a late payment.

GBNot a Smooth Transaction Unfortunately, I did NOT have a smooth transaction. Everything started out smooth enough, and, for whatever reason, things got 'messy'. I kept having to fill out the same paperwork multiple times, my loan officer went 'ghost' for a short period of time (no one could answer any questions while he was out so I HAD to wait for him to resurface) and the underwriting process was very messy (kept being asked for documents I'd already sent). And the coup da gracious was...the day of my closing (2:00 PM)...it wasn't until 11:30 or so that I was told the amount to bring to closing...oh & funds had to be WIRED vs bring a cashier's check. Then to top it all off...the closing attorney was sent the wrong paperwork by (I'm guessing) the title company Brightpath used to close my loan. SO I ended up having to meet with that attorney TWICE. I should be lucky that I did closed; I was given an initial closing date, the seller came into town for it but that was around the time my loan officer went ghost & NO ONE could answer WTH happened. How was I given a closing date & I found out my file wasn't even in underwriting. I don't believe the seller was compensated for their wasted trip into town...WOW!!! Everything was just so botched up that I honestly keep looking for a certified letter saying the house isn't really mine...that's how horrible this transaction was for me. That was my experience...I wish everyone else the best of luck. P.S. I had my credit together, knew what house I wanted to buy, the seller & I had already negotiated the sale price AND I had $$$ for my downpayment/closing costs; so no; it was NOT me!!!

GBBad Experience with Loan Officer It may not be fair to tar Brightpath with he same brush as my loan officer but I only have him as a reference. I had 2 properties to refi and I primarily wanted to do property B. Loan officer worked on property A and after that was done came back and said that we could not do property B. He was rude and condescending in the process. I am closing the loan on property B with another company.
