Each step was clearly explained and all of the financials were intensively clarified, even if they had to be repeated to me! Good luck getting your escrow refund. Pennymac erroneously paid property taxes from escrow on a mortgage that had been satisfied back in mid-December. We have still not received the refund even after multiple contacts. They have kept/used our money for 3 months and it's still sitting in the escrow account. I would suggest telling your lender to absolutely not sell your mortgage to these crooks.

I have an FHA loan with unfortunate built-in PMI at around $400+ cost a month, which remains until I sell my home as this current RE-FI could not change since my income did not allow a change from FHA to conventional.
