Good luck getting your escrow refund. Pennymac erroneously paid property taxes from escrow on a mortgage that had been satisfied back in mid-December. We have still not received the refund even after multiple contacts. They have kept/used our money for 3 months and it's still sitting in the escrow account. I would suggest telling your lender to absolutely not sell your mortgage to these crooks.

I have an FHA loan with unfortunate built-in PMI at around $400+ cost a month, which remains until I sell my home as this current RE-FI could not change since my income did not allow a change from FHA to conventional. Rotten system I was in the hospital for three weeks and missed one payment. Pennyman blocked my ability to pay online and requires me to call them. However, their system is completely dysfunctional, nobody answers then it hangs up on you after wasting up to an half hour! I want to pay my mortgage but PennyMac won't let me!!!! Terrible company!!

PENNY MAC SUCKS!!!!! Have had increases due to taxes 3 years in a row...which NEVER happened when I was with Rocket Mortgage (for over 10 years!). Most recent increase was $200/month. It's always due to "taxes", but their record keeping is deplorable. Have tried multiple times to create an online account via the PennyMac website, but keep getting error messages. They're "customer service" is literally non-existent. HORRIBLE COMPANY. DON'T WALK...RUN AWAY FROM THIS MORTGAGE COMPANY!!!
