Current tenant: Think twice before renting an apartment with them I've been unfortunate to rent an apartment in one of the complexes that this company manages. I've pointed out a couple of issues with unit during the tour and asked if they can be taken care of (namely bedroom window was pretty dirty, scratches on the oven top, etc). Some things couldn't be fixed and that's ok. Windows supposed to be cleaned and when I moved in there were not. And now they basically just ignoring my requests to clean it.

THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! After living at Bell Fontaine for two years I can honestly say DO NOT RENT THERE or at any of Equity residential properties. They will rip you off and you’ll see it in your move out charges. They charged me to replace carpet that was under warranty and didn’t need to be replaced. They also charged me astronomical fees for cleaning and painting. There was no damage to anything in the unit, just simple wear and tear. Be prepared for them to raise your rent 10 percent every year and to retaliate against you for moving out by charging you unjust move out fees. You’ve been warned!

I just have never found a… I just have never found a community--much less an apartment building--with such character and charm. The staff go above and beyond to make the tenants feel like members of a larger whole, and I really cannot think of another building in which I wish to call home. Without the tireless work of Dereka and her incredible staff--Catherine, Regina, etc.--I feel as though this great place would lose its magic. Five stars.

this company does not care about you This BILLION dollar company does not help people during this terrible pandemic. They are still charging rent, charging fees for using credits even though that’s all someone has to pay and setting up residents for failure and massive debt. They reduced their hours by a lot and aren’t even doing service requests. They aren’t reducing rent. No one is asking for free rent but a reduced rent would help tremendously. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY, they do not care about you.

I would highly recommend Equity… I would highly recommend Equity Residential Ltd of Eastbourne. Their Lettings Negotiators, courteous and efficient, quickly found us the right property, and the whole legal process was very straightforward. Well done.
